About Purification Plants
The core part of our service offering is our fleet of purification plants. There are critical factors to be considered when developing a water purification plant:
• Seasonal variations of raw water quality
• Water quality from the source
• Regulatory requirements
• Required quantity to be treated
• Other factors include:
plant size, site condition, availability of skills, degree of automation required, economics, etc.
Process Flow
Membrane technology is regarded as the most robust and flexible technologies for water purification. Our Modular package plants comprise mainly of membrane water treatment processes (ultrafiltration (UF), nano-filtration (NF), or Reverse Osmosis (RO)).
The typical operational process flow runs as indicated below:
• Feedwater (from identified source)
• Multi-Media filter for membrane protection and elimination of suspended particles
• Activated carbon for taste and smell
• Precision filter (UF) for RO protection, elimination of heavy metals, viruses, and bacteria.
• RO membranes for main purification process • UV disinfection to kill bacteria
• Product water
• Transport treated water to consumers
Plant Specifications
A typical mobile water purification unit is mounted on a trailer or at the back of a truck (refer to Figure 2 for typical configuration).
An RO plant designed for brackish water treatment process flow comprises the following:
• Feed water tank
• Multi Media filter
• Activated carbon
• UF Precision filter
• RO membranes
• UV disinfection
• Product water
